Horstman Cattle Company is truly a family operation, built through the shared passion and commitment of Larry and Joe Horstman. Together, the father-and-son team has developed a respected Angus and Simmental program focused on producing cattle that combine quality, functionality and eye appeal.

Larry brings a lifetime of experience in the cattle industry, including 36 years on the Purdue University veterinary medicine faculty and an extensive background in bovine reproduction. His contributions have earned recognition including the Indiana Livestock Breeders Association Hall of Fame and the Indiana Beef Cattle Association’s Robert C. Peterson Lifetime Achievement Award.

Today, Joe plays an integral role in every aspect of Horstman Cattle Company, from breeding decisions and herd management to marketing, sales and working with customers and junior exhibitors. Together, Larry and Joe continue to move the program forward while staying rooted in the relationships and values on which it was built.
